The Project
CASCADES is a Canadian healthcare organization dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint in the healthcare system. I collaborated with the team to redesign their website.
The Challenge
CASCADES initially developed their website to secure funding by showcasing their goals and business model. However, as the organization grew, the website needed to evolve to serve the healthcare community more effectively.
The Solution
We transformed the CASCADES website to clearly communicate the organization’s mission, manage their growing content efficiently, promote courses, and streamline the sign-up and payment processes.
Research and Insights
I started with a comprehensive content audit to reorganize information for clarity and relevance. One-on-one interviews with CASCADES staff helped me understand key information, usability issues, and desired features. I also conducted card sorting exercises and tree testing to create an organized, user-friendly resource section.
Design Process
The design process involved creating and testing medium-fidelity wireframes to improve navigation. Low-fidelity sketches explored various user flows, which were then developed into a prototype for usability testing. User feedback was crucial in refining the design into a high-fidelity prototype using a no-code platform.
Impact
The website redesign boosted course sign-ups and resource downloads, enhancing user satisfaction with better navigation and communication.
